Security of tenure:

  • The lessee has the right to an extension of the agreement if nothing else is agreed and approved by the lease board (JB ch. 9 § 8).

Transfer:

  • The lessee may not assign the agreement without the landowner's consent (JB ch. 9, § 31).

Termination:

  • Notice period: One year for agreements that are five years or longer, otherwise eight months (JB ch. 9, § 3).

Vision and Settlement:

  • At the end of the lease period, an inspection of the leased premises must be carried out to assess any compensation claims (JB ch. 9 § 23).

Applicable Law:

  • This agreement is governed by the Land Code (1970:994), especially chapters 7, 8 and 9.
