About this template
Do you suspect that someone has made a purchase, taken out credit, or created invoices in your name? This Swedish document package helps you document suspected identity fraud and send separate, factual messages to companies, banks, debt collection agencies, or credit reporting agencies. You will also receive a record of events and a police report template to prepare for contacting the police.
Most importantly: If money or your BankID may be at risk, contact your bank immediately through its official contact channels. In case of an emergency crime or an urgent need for police assistance, call 112; otherwise, file a police report according to the police's instructions, often via 114 14 or at a police station. This package does not file a report for you and can never replace contacting the authorities directly.
01. Package Contents
15 customer files: five Swedish work templates, a Swedish user guide, and an English User Guide for the Swedish documents. Each of the seven documents is available in editable Word (DOCX) and searchable, printable PDF. A Swedish-based Excel register (XLSX) with nine tabs is also included. Total: 7 DOCX + 7 PDF + 1 XLSX. The PDF files are not interactive digital forms.
02. What the Files Contain
Fields for verified counterparties, invoice and order references, disputes, actual bank debits, block and complaint contacts, debt collection objections, credit reporting inquiries, police report preparation, and references to evidence. The Excel file separates alleged claims, actual account debits, and confirmed refunds without automatically determining legal liability. The register templates use neutral case IDs and contain no pre-filled real personal data.
Is the Document Package Right for You?
Yes, if: you are an individual who has received an invoice for something you did not order, discovered an unknown purchase or credit attempt in your name, needs to contact your bank after a suspected unauthorized transaction, or wants to compile a clear timeline for filing a police report.
No, if: you actually want to dispute the price of a service you purchased yourself, want to report ordinary card fraud using a specific government form, need urgent advice from your bank, already have a court case requiring individual legal representation, or are looking for a tool that automatically places blocks or files government reports.

How the Excel Register Works
The workbook has nine tabs: Read Me, Overview, Events, Orders, Payments, Claims, Contacts, Protective Measures, and Evidence. Use neutral case IDs and refer to original documents stored securely outside of Excel.
The Overview tab summarizes the number of registered entries and manually entered amounts. Example from the functional test: an actual bank transaction of SEK 200 and a verified refund of SEK 50 result in an administrative difference of SEK 150. Separate claims of SEK 1,200 and a write-off of SEK 400 are not counted as a bank debit. No calculation determines whether you are legally liable to pay or entitled to a certain amount of compensation. All test entries have been cleared from the delivered file.
What to Do If You Discover Identity Theft
- Secure Yourself Immediately. Contact your bank through an official contact channel if your card, accounts, transfers, or BankID may be affected. Follow the bank's instructions for blocking and filing a complaint.
- File a Police Report. Use the police's official procedure. The five documents are only aids for compiling facts and following up.
- Dispute Unauthorized Orders. Send a clear, written message to the seller stating that you did not make the purchase and do not accept the invoice. Save proof that the objection was sent.
- Contact Each New Claimant. If a debt collection company demands money, dispute that claim as well. If you receive a payment order from the Swedish Enforcement Authority, you must object directly to the authority within the specific time limit stated in the letter.
- Check Credit Reports and Your Address. Contact the credit reporting agency about unknown inquiries, ask about blocks, and check for any incorrect address changes with relevant authorities.
- Follow Up with Documentation. Keep orders, bank debits, alleged claims, and actual refunds separate. Store original documents securely.
Important Rules and Differences
Am I Obligated to Pay an Invoice for Something I Did Not Order?
If you did not place the order or enter into an agreement, the starting point is that you are not liable to pay for the alleged purchase. Still, dispute an incorrect payment claim in writing and state the true circumstances. The Swedish Consumer Agency and the police clearly recommend disputing the claim to document the objection. Swedish Consumer Agency: Disputing an Invoice.
Am I Automatically Entitled to a Refund from the Bank?
No. The Payment Services Act (2010:751), Chapter 5 a regulates, among other things, the bank's obligation to restore the account in the event of unauthorized transactions and exceptions that may be due to the customer's actions, authentication, and how quickly the transaction was reported. The seller, the bank, and the creditor are not necessarily the same party. According to Chapter 5 a, Section 6, the bank must be notified as soon as possible after discovery, and a 13-month limit may be relevant. Always contact the bank directly.
Is It a Crime to Use Someone Else's Identity?
The Swedish Penal Code, Chapter 4, Section 6 b covers unauthorized use of identity when someone uses another person's identity details, pretends to be that person, and causes harm or inconvenience. Other crimes may also be relevant. The police and prosecutor determine the legal classification. Our template does not make that assessment.
Why Is Disputing with the Seller Not Enough When the Swedish Enforcement Authority Has Contacted You?
The Swedish Enforcement Authority has its own official procedure. A receipt of delivery is not the same as accepting the claim. If you want to object, you must do so directly to the authority within the time limit stated in the relevant payment order. A dispute that is referred further may result in court costs. This package does not contain an official Swedish Enforcement Authority form. A separate package for payment orders is available in the product range.
Privacy and Information Security
Never Save Passwords, PIN Codes, One-Time Codes, BankID Secrets, Full Personal Identity Numbers, or Card Numbers in Excel or in documents that are shared without protection. Information in original invoices, ID documents, and bank statements should be stored in a separate, secure archive. Always verify the recipient's identity and contact details through an official source, not through a link in a suspicious message.
Frequently Asked Questions – Quick Answers
What Do I Do Immediately If I Suspect Identity Theft?
Contact the bank immediately, report the incident to the police, dispute claims you have not approved, and check unknown credit reports. Always follow current instructions from the responsible parties.
Can I Dispute a Fake Invoice Using the Word Template?
Yes. Use document 01 when it truthfully concerns an unauthorized order, state the invoice reference, and send it to the correct company through a verified contact channel. Save proof of delivery.
Does the Form Serve as a Police Report?
No. Document 05 is a preliminary record of events and evidence. You must file the report yourself through the police's official contact channel.
Can I Automatically Stop a Debt Collection Claim or Swedish Enforcement Authority Case?
No. The document can help you express your objection to the debt collection agency, but a government order requires your own response to the Swedish Enforcement Authority within the specified time.
Is Excel Secure for Sensitive Identity Information?
No, a standard shared spreadsheet is not intended for passwords or confidential identity information. The workbook is deliberately designed for neutral case IDs and verified administrative details.
Are the Documents in Swedish or English?
The five work templates are in Swedish. A Swedish guide is included. An English guide helps you understand the Swedish documents but is not a translation of the five letters.
Are the PDF Files Editable?
The DOCX files are the editable originals. The accompanying PDF versions are searchable and printable, but not interactive fillable forms.
