The nine tabs are Overview, Organization, Sponsorship Candidates, Offers, Benefits, Contacts, Deliveries, Decisions and Read me. Practical workflow

1. Check the organization's mandate to seek sponsorship and state the actual project, target audience and budget.
2. Fill in the request letter without creating an invoice or pretending to have an agreement.
3. Describe realistic sponsorship levels and each intended benefit separately.
4. Review the right to contact individuals and process any personal data.
5. Send an individual request and register only actual dialogue.
6. If the parties want to proceed: use a separate sponsorship agreement, and then check proof of delivery against the agreed benefits.

Legal prerequisites and important limitations

The Swedish Tax Agency assesses the right to deduct sponsorship based on actual benefits and other circumstances. No specific level in a sponsorship proposal is automatically deductible. Read the Swedish Tax Agency's guidelines for sponsorship. The Marketing Act (2008:486), including sections 9–10 and 19–20, is relevant for identifiable advertising, marketing claims and electronic marketing. The organization's and sponsor's right to use logos and images must be clarified separately. VAT and any tax consequences are assessed based on the actual arrangement, not the document's heading.

Is a sponsorship request a binding sponsorship agreement?

No. The request is intended to open a dialogue. If the parties agree on support and benefits, binding terms should be documented separately.

Can the template be used for a sports club?

Yes. A non-profit sports club can adapt information about activities, target audience and sponsorship levels. The club's rules, tax issues and special advertising restrictions must be assessed in the concrete case.

Does the sponsorship presentation guarantee a tax deduction?

No. The Swedish Tax Agency may need to assess different benefits individually, and a donation portion may be treated differently.

Can I send the request by email to anyone?

No. The rules depend on the recipient, channel, the Marketing Act and GDPR, among other things. Make a contact assessment before sending and respect objections.

Is the PDF fillable and does it include an English agreement template?
