About this template
Ordinary Enforcement – Return of Property B2B is a document package for Swedish companies that need to request the return of identifiable movable property, such as loaned company equipment, and are considering preparing an application for ordinary enforcement with the Swedish Enforcement Authority. The package contains Word, searchable PDF files, and an Excel register.
Important limitation: The files are private working documents, not official Swedish Enforcement Authority forms and not a submitted application. They do not create ownership or the right to retrieve property by force yourself. Ordinary and special enforcement have different requirements and procedures.
When might the materials be relevant?
In a B2B agreement where one party has, for example, loaned, leased, or provided specific equipment and, under the applicable agreement, can request its return once the obligation has arisen. The documents help the user identify the property, the counterparty, the actual contractual basis, the return date, and relevant evidence. They are not designed for evicting a tenant, special enforcement in cases of interference with possession, or monetary claims.
01. Package contents
15 customer files: 7 editable Word (.docx), 7 corresponding searchable and printable PDF files, and 1 Excel (.xlsx) with nine tabs. Six documents are in Swedish, and one document file is an English User Guide. The PDF files are not guaranteed to be interactive forms.
02. What the files contain
A request to return property, preparatory materials for the Swedish Enforcement Authority's official application, an inventory of property, and an evidence log, preliminary legal and practical checks, a return receipt, two user guides, and an Excel register for cases, items, communication, evidence, checks, and actual return.

Excel with nine tabs
Dashboard, Cases, Property, Claims, Evidence, Messages, Checks, Return, and Read Me. The register summarizes, for example, the requested number of items, the verified returned number, and the administrative balance. Statuses and options are updated manually. No formula determines ownership, possessory rights, a legal obligation to return, or a government decision.
Step-by-step workflow
- Identify the property with unique characteristics, such as serial numbers, and verify actual possession.
- Review the agreement or legal basis and when the obligation to return has arisen.
- Check whether ordinary enforcement is the correct procedure, or whether special enforcement or court proceedings require a separate assessment.
- Write and document a reasoned request for return without assuming enforcement powers.
- If an application is needed, use the Swedish Enforcement Authority's official application channel with the correct claim and grounds.
- Document actual government decisions and the respondent's possible objection.
- Acknowledge only actually returned property and follow up on revocation or closure of the government case as needed.
Legal requirements and differences
According to the Swedish Enforcement Authority Act (1990:746), especially Section 3, second point, ordinary enforcement may refer to the respondent fulfilling something other than payment when the time for fulfillment has arisen and settlement is permitted. The application must contain a sufficiently specified claim and the grounds for it according to Section 10. The property should be identified so that a return claim can be understood and followed up.
Special enforcement under Section 4 is something else and may be relevant in certain cases of unlawful actions or hindered use of property. The fact that a company wants to get property back does not automatically mean that ordinary enforcement is correct. In case of an objection to ordinary enforcement, the case may need to be referred to the district court for review; see Verksamt.se's comparison of enforcement types.
The package primarily applies to claims for the return of movable property in private B2B relationships. It is not intended as a form for eviction/removal, seizure, recovery under special consumer credit rules, or enforcement of an already existing judgment.
Frequently asked questions
What is ordinary enforcement?
It is a procedure with the Swedish Enforcement Authority for certain claims that someone should fulfill an obligation that does not only concern money. The concrete requirement and handling depend on the law, agreement, and objections.
Can I request the return of company equipment without a written agreement?
It depends on the actual circumstances and what legal basis can be proven. Receipts, emails, and other documents may be relevant, but the template does not establish that the right to the property is proven.
What is the difference between ordinary and special enforcement?
Ordinary enforcement under Section 3 and special enforcement under Section 4 have different scopes and rules on objections. The procedural choice must be made before the application; this package only concerns preparation for ordinary enforcement.
What happens if the counterparty disputes it?
For ordinary enforcement, a court review may become relevant if the applicant wants to pursue the dispute further. Check the Swedish Enforcement Authority's actual decision and handling deadlines.
Is the receipt the same as a settlement?
No. It documents the receipt of property, not automatically that all claims for, for example, damages, fees, or counterclaims have been fully settled.
Can I send the Word file directly to the Swedish Enforcement Authority?
No. The document is a private preparatory material. Use the current official application channel at the Swedish Enforcement Authority.
