This template is intended for spouses or future spouses who wish to designate specific property as separate property, while other property may continue to be marital property.
Examples of property that can be specified include a particular residence, real estate, tenant-owned apartment, shares in a company, or other clearly identified assets. The template is not intended for time-limited or conditional arrangements, such as the property being separate only for a certain number of years or only in the event of a divorce.

Important information regarding Swedish law
A prenuptial agreement must be in writing, dated, and signed by both spouses or future spouses, and registered with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) to be valid as a prenuptial agreement. Swedish law does not require witnesses.
The Swedish Tax Agency’s current legal guidance states that prenuptial agreements cannot be time-limited or conditional. If the spouses later wish to change what is to be separate property, this is done by means of a new registered prenuptial agreement.
