About this template
Inheritance Distribution Deed Template – Word/PDF
This template is designed to help the beneficiaries of a Swedish estate document how the estate's assets and liabilities are distributed after the estate inventory has been completed. The document provides a structured basis for recording the deceased, the estate beneficiaries, the basis for the distribution and the assets allocated to each party.
What is an inheritance distribution deed?
An inheritance distribution deed records the agreed division of an estate between the persons entitled to inherit. It is normally prepared after the estate inventory and after the estate's debts and other obligations have been considered.
The template includes sections for
- details of the deceased and the estate,
- estate beneficiaries and their identifying information,
- reference to the registered estate inventory,
- assets, liabilities and relevant valuations,
- distribution of property between the beneficiaries,
- relevant wills or other estate-planning documents,
- signatures and dates.
Adapt the document to the estate
Every estate is different. Property, bank assets, securities, debts, gifts, wills, marital property issues and tax questions can affect the distribution. The template should therefore be adapted to the actual estate and to the rights of all beneficiaries.
Signatures
The final deed should clearly show the agreed distribution and be signed by the parties whose approval is required. Keep the signed document together with the estate's other records.
